Sup. Anthony Sowan here. Wow...I actually love this color. What is this? Lilac? It's like aromatherapy for your eyes!
I've been a mic monkey for Wayne FM for awhile now, and I've been luvin it (bada ba ba ba) since I arrived here over a year and a half ago. It's been an absolutely awesome labor of love to work the airwaves around this part of Alberta. So much has changed in the area and on the air since I arrived, it feels like it's been a lot longer!
I've had the opportunity to meet piles of great people since I started on Wayne's Wakeup. There's something so friendly and open about the people in this area. I am absolutely TERRIBLE with names, so although I recognize a lot of people....I usually do the whole "Hey you! How have you been?" routine until something clicks, or I get the brass to fess up and ask for your name lol. If I've done this to you, I'm sorry.
I started my working career as a tradesman. Welding, and general steel work mostly. After a lot of years busting hump...literally, I decided to pursue something else. My good friend Toby and I had been doing internet radio for a few years as a hobby, and we both decided to give up the hard hat and head to school in Saskatoon. After 5 grueling months in radio bootcamp, and 3 harrowing months on the air in Northern Saskatchewan, I decided to badger Newcap until they ponied up the morning job in Wainwright. They caved, I won, and we've had some serious fun ever since!
Most likely dj to be arrested? - Me or Bobbo. If in a situation together, the odds go up by 200%
Something quirky about Bobby - That guy farts. Constantly. He could heat homes....but you wouldn't want to live in them.
Something quirky about Kelsey- She's derty. I mean...I thought I had a filthy mind! When combined, Kelso and I could make Andrew Dice Clay blush.
Who's your hero? - Tsutomu Yamaguchi: a man aged 93 is the only known survivor of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both hit by atomic bombs towards the end of World War II. TWO FREAKIN ATOM BOMBS! Now that's tough!
hobby/s - I love hockey, so watching Oilers games, and playing NHL 12 on PS3. I also love pursuits of the mind. I devour National Geographics, biographies, documentaries...anything that can teach me something. I just wish I could retain it all lol.
p.s. - I like kitties!!!

Epic. So glad I got to meet him before he retired. I think this was his second last game.
I never did finish this little guitar piece. I wrote the duet about 3 years ago, and just never turned it into a song....I think I kinda like it just the way it is :)
This is a pic of me back in the school days. Good ol' WABC in Saskatoon! Prolly some of the best times of my life.
This is me and my Jenn getting NUTTY watching UFC at the local drinking hole. Good times!
Narf is THE coolest freakin cat in the world! He's one of my bestest buddies. :)
Wasn't kidding...I used to weld lol. Damn I had a lot of fun in those days! Can't say that I'll go back to blue collar though. I like this radio stuffs.
HAHAHA! This is a really good friend Merrilou holding Jenn lol! We were in Edmonton for a Killswitch show. IT ROCKED!
This is my son, Daylan, and I, spending some quality time smack talking while playing some chel. I'm proud to say that I have the coolest, smartest, most talented kid on the planet. He's playing football these days, and CRUSHING fools from the defensive side. MLB, CB, DT, HB...this kid does it all!
Daylan had a guitar in his hands at the age of 5 days old hahaha. This is him at Xmas just after getting his first guitar. An Ibanez jr. That's my RIDICULOUSLY loud Ibanez half stack behind him.
